Slate Hunting, Automated
A confidentiality constraint that ruled out the cloud, small on-device models trained mostly on synthetic data because no real slate dataset comes close to big enough, and a dense inference pipeline that pins the clapper-shut frame and locks separately-recorded production sound to it, frame-accurate. How I built automatic slate detection and audio sync for dailies.
